I grew up in Bad Münstereifel and moved to Bonn to study Geography a couple of years ago. My first trips were mainly to European cities but in the last couple of years I got more and more into outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, via ferratas, kayaking and snowboarding so now my destinations are rather the mountains and remote places in nature.

I finally registered on this platform last year, when I had finished my term abroad in Vancouver and was about to make one of my dreams come true: travel to the Arctic via Vancouver Island, Haida Gwaii, Prince Rupert, Whitehorse, Dawson City, Inuvik and all the stunning places in between, and to explore Jasper and Banff on my way back. I was about to leave Vancouver and start my trip when I had a climbing accident and tore several ligaments. So I had to cancel the whole thing.

Now, a year later, I'm ready to come back :-). I will finish my Master program on March, 31 and fly to Whitehorse 4 days later. I will rent a car and drive to Inuvik with Stopps in Dawson and Eagle Plains to eventually witness the reindeer crossing north of Inuvik on April, 9, and the Muskrat Jamboree. Can't wait!!
On my way back to Vancouver I will have lots of time to visit and stay at all the beautiful places I would like to get to know.

Like everyone else here I want to meet open-minded people who love traveling and/or sharing stories and experiences. I very much appreciate getting to know a country in an authentic way and I feel that spending some time with locals is so much more worth than reading tons of guide books. I would love to know more about living in the north. I am thankful for every place where I can stay for one or a couple of nights and I’d be even happier if my hosts find some time to show me around, join me for a day trip, recommend places and activities, teach my how to cook a typical meal, or other unique things!

Back home, I’m keen on showing people around in Bonn and surrounding areas, to cook for them, and to offer them a cozy place to stay for a couple of days :-)

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Not sure if there’s anything I can really teach but I guess I can share my travel experiences from Europe, give good recommendations and offer you a place to stay in Germany anytime :-) I’m very curious and happy about any “local knowledge” you share. Besides, I recently bought a new camera and there's a lot to learn for me about photography. Oh and if you happen to know something about fishing, travel behavior in avalanche terrain, backcountry touring – I am very keen on learning (more) about that :-)…
