Hey there,
my name is Carina and I am a 26 years old German girl who wants to travel through Central and Southamerica.
I studied in Heidelberg and worked in an eventlocation and organized different events. I'd like to travel a lot and would love to gain experiences and to discover the world a bit further. I love to travel, meeting new people and have great conversations, trying new food and getting to know different cultures and ways of living. Also I love it to be in the nature and to interact with animals and children.
My passion is to travel and discover new places, not simply as a tourist but also living with the people.

In July 2017 I quit my job and sold my flat and all my stuff I had, packed by backpack which is my life right now and started backpacking through Iceland, Ireland, Scotland and Ukraine. I did different kind of workaways like working
- on a sheep and horsefarm in the East of Iceland in a Fjord in the middle of nowhere
- in a language school for translations in Ireland
After I decided to go to Barcelona where I kinda lost my heart. For me it´s always again and again like coming home. I stayed as a volunteer in a hostel about 10 months and it was the most amazing time I´ve ever had. Being surrounded of so many different people from all over the world and got so many contacts. To share daily life and having great conversations. I made friends for life!
It was pretty hard to leave but I decided to work on a cruise ship. Not to get stucked on one place, continue travelling and working at the same time. 8 months were a long time working every single day but it worth it and I´m so grateful for the chance to see so many places!! Every day something else and the wide of the sea.
Now I´m ready again to travel on my own and want to discover Central and South America. To visit many people I met in Barcelona. Promise is promise!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite kind of music is something which makes you feel moving and happy.
I´m listening a lot to spanish music but also chilled electronic stuff. All depends on being in the right mood. Like to join festivals in the summer being around good friends and just having a good time and enjoying life. And there is also a lot of good german music i can show you ;)
Love it to watch series on netflix. This is the perfect thing to relax and to get addicted :) I use it a lot to improve my spanish and also english. Last one for example was La casa de papel!
Like to read during I travel especially in the train - was just reading about a woman travelling the world for 1 year and staying ever month in another metropole. For me it´s just being inspired and be motivated to try everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Enjoying Iceland for a whole month travelling the Route No.1. Camping in the middle of nowhere always having an amazing view in the morning. The mix of waterfalls, amazing wide nature landscapes, glacier, hot pools! And the best to meet this amazing people, never met so peaceful human beings! They made my first hitch-hiking experience to something super special!
