I'd say that I'm a sociable person, who likes to cook and to eat, especially together with other people. :-) From October 2017 I will live together with my boyfriend in the eastern city of Karlsruhe. We both study Geomatics and love to travel around Europe with our small Camper called "Dirk", which you can see on my second photo. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm registered on Couchsurfing because I think it's a great way to get in contact with local people while you're travelliing and you get to know the country you visit much better than when staying in commercial accomodations.
I only had two Couchsurfing experiences so far, both in Southern Australia. I felt very welcome by both of my hosts. Thank you very much for this experience!
FROM (let's say the midth of) OCTOBER, me and my boyfriend are planning to host people from abroad to get in contact with people from all over the world and to show them our more or less beautiful hometown Karlsruhe. So feel welcome to send me a request. :-)

Interests

I love to be in nature and to enjoy the silence there. Two times a week I can care for a very beautiful horse and go out for a ride in the forest with it. And sometimes I go hiking for example in the Black Forest, sometimes canoeing on the holms of the river Rhine. And while travelling, there's also always a lot to explore with my hiking boots or my canoe. :-)
I also love cooking and eating, especially vegetarian.
And, of course, I eagerly am together with my friends and nice people. :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A great experience I made in my life was my trip to Thailand which I made with my sister. It was the first time I was out of Europe.
After we travelled through the whole country, we went to the North of Thailand to a woman my sister already knew from her first trip to Thailand.
We stood in her house and also were allowed to go to the school with her (she and her friend were teacher) and teach the kids there a little bit in English.
We really got to know how people live in Thailand and that there are many differences to the european cultures. The people there are much more friendly and thankful and always give you a smile. It was a great time we had there and after this journey I knew that I want to travel to many other countries in order to learn about different cultures.
