About Me

CURRENT MISSION

if not to change the world, to stop the world from changing me

ABOUT ME

[Vicente] I like parties, basketball, diving, biking, travelling, trekking... (although very bad at everything except at partying;-)
Recently I and my girlfriend (German) have had a son, and I like to watch him as he grows up and help him in everything I can (he had just learned to walk:-)
[Nicole] Two years ago I left the german countryside and moved to Madrid to share my live with the chocolate addict boyfriend. We don`t have a TV nor do I read the newspaper regularly, because I don't like the pessimistic media.

PHILOSOPHY

[Vicente] Trying to understand everyone, and to look things under his/her point of view. Laugh and make laugh. be happy altogether!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

[Vicente] On dec 1998-jan 1999 I made my first long "solo" trip, travelling for one month through Colombia, and I didn't spend even one night in a hotel! Just at friends and friends of friends and knowns of friends's homes (I didn't even imagine things like CouchSurfing yet:-)
[Nicole] Before we knew couch surfing, we usually surfed the couch of our relatives or friends, e.g in Texel (Netherlands), Plymouth (UK) and last but not least in Rio de Janeiro. This summer for first time we surfed the couch of strangers thanks to CouchSurfing. This was a great experience, having so great hosts as we had.
[Adrian] I surfed the travel bed in Norway with my parents, of course. Thanks to our hosts for having a short but nice time at your place.

Interests

[Vicente] I collect Walt Disney comics and help at the page
http://coa.inducks.org
I'm making my genealogic tree.
I used to play brazilian guitar :-(when I had time)

Music, Movies, and Books

[Vicente] I love bossa nova, especially Joao Gilberto. I had a musical group myself named Cariocatura (hence my nickname;-) which performed that kind of music. I also enjoy lots of other music tendencies (rock, pop, samba, nueva trova, rumba...)
[Nicole] Habana blues is one of the best movies I have ever seen. And the best books I read are written by Ken Follet. Music, sorry but I like mainstream.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

[Vicente] being in an Amazonas tributary, days with our little boat to any people settlement, looking for a sunken piece of the off-shore motor!... and find it to catch my flight back to Spain

Teach, Learn, Share

[Vicente] I guess I could teach something about playing guitar (especially if you like bossa nova)
