ABOUT ME

About me...i know so much about me, i think i know more about me than anything else...it would be my specialty subject in a game show...but i never really know what to write in these sort of box things.

I finally did it; this year i left Brisbane, Australia, and have set off for a year long adventure around Europe and Asia. Leaving my family and friends when i am only 18 was one of the hardest things i have ever done, but so far, this trip has been amazing and worth every tear!!

I love travelling and am trying to squeeze as much in as i can while i am young, while things are still easy; before life gets too serious and difficult, if it ever does.

As with most Couch Surfers, meeting new people is one of my favourite aspects of travelling. i love learning new things and learning about different cultures. I ask way too many questions. i love to listen to people telling me their stories of their life- that is how I learn! and what better way than to hear it all straight from a complete stranger you have just met while sitting on their couch:)

I think i am a fun person, easy to talk to and laugh with. i love crazy nights out, i love drunken dancing- but am also stangely content with a decent conversation and a night in- I LOVE PEOPLE WHO MAKE ME THINK. i have a way of finding something in common with everyone so i find that i can talk to, and get along with pretty much everyone. Yes, i am only 18, but plese dont let that put you off- i do remember the world before automatic windows in cars! and i promise i can hold a conversation without mentioning 'facebook' or 'iPhone'!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

From August i will start travelling around Europe and i really hope to couchsurf wherever possible. And of course when i am back in Australia i would love to host people too and show them how beautiful Australia is!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hmm...this is the tricky bit.

i am currently in the awkward position that i am sure lots of other couchsurfers have been in too. i heard about this amazing project wanted to join in, i love the idea of it all, meeting new people, sharing expiriences, seeing the real city- places that might be a bit off the free map everyone gets from the tourist centre- But have hardly any friends or references on my page beacuse i have only couch surfed once! But we were all there and you have to start somewhere right?

So at the moment, before i can build up my expirience, i just need someone to trust me and let me in! i promise you it will be worth it :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

well until i can pin point something specific (there have been so many) i will have to keep it broad and say leaving home at 18 to travel the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

i want to learn how to do one new thing in each coutry i visit and then i can share what i know.

so far i know how to properly eat spaghetti- Italian style, how to drink lots and lots of Cornish Cider and how to properly tie a knot on a boat. i need to know more.

i can also share my crazy thoughts about the world.
