ABOUT ME

I'm an explorer. I love to discover and learn about new things, and meet new people every day. At times, I can seem very quiet and reserved, but this is usually me just getting used to my surroundings. Once I feel comfortable, the real me comes out, and I can be loud and energetic and spontaneous. I also laugh for no apparent reason, all the time, because laughter is healthy and life is supposed to be enjoyed. Growing up in Minnesota and living in Colorado I feel most at home outdoors, in the wilderness, but when I'm stuck in the city, I spend as much time as I can on my bicycle.

Whatever will be, will be. Life is an adventure, and we must embrace whatever comes our way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a few times, and surfed a few more, and loved every experience. I've also reached out to CS communities around the world and have found it to be one of the best resources while traveling to have true, authentic experiences and meet amazing people!

Interests

Anything outdoors- biking, hiking, yoga on the beach, a little bit of rock climbing, lounging in the sun, skiing, camping, the list could go on for days...
I am also interested in sustainable development and natural resource conservation. If we want to live on this earth, we must take care of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love to read just about anything. A favorite of mine that has been since childhood is "Sea of Memory" by Erri de Luca.
Music is a passion of mine, one that I wish I was more capable of acting upon, as I do not play an instrument, but I love listening and dancing to any type of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving over the Rocky Mountains is an experience I will never forget. Nor is salmon fishing in Alaska, riding camels through the Sahara, backpacking through Central America, hiking Torres del Paine in Patagonia, skinny dipping on the Homer Spit, meditating for a month in the mountains of Guatemala, playing with monkeys in the jungles of Costa Rica, horseback riding through northern Chile... Okay, so there are too many to choose from! I love life, I love to adventure, and there are so many more amazing things to be done!

I don't have many special talents, but I can share with you my experiences in life, and teach you to appreciate the small things, and make every moment one to put a smile on your face.
