Overview
About Me
I'm currently working at the University of Bamberg (Bavaria): I teach French to future French teachers, but I also have many other jobs on the side, mostly translations and corrections, in fact, anything related to languages especially German and French, sometimes English. I grew up in France (Normandy), but I've been living in Bavaria since 2006, with a few gaps though (one year in France , 2008, one year in Cambridge UK and Moscow, 2011).
I have 4 siblings who all still live in France, two sisters and two brothers, they're all younger than me. We all have a very good connection and even if I don't see them as often as I would want to, we always know that we have each other's back.
I guess people think of me as a kind and empathetic person, which I try to be everyday. One of my flaws is maybe that I can tend to be overly ambitious, not exactly in my profession, but in other things such as sports or games. But I never hold any grudges because of a game, if at all I'm only angry at myself during the game for not giving 100%. ;-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm totally new to couchsurfing, but I always wanted to try it. Due to recent changes in my life, I'm now able to travel a little more and I want to give it a go! :-)
Right now I can't really offer more than a couch, but it's quite comfy.
Interests
All kinds of sports : football, rugby, tennis, squash, running...

Cooking, especially for other people, I often can't be bothered to cook something really nice just for me

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Indie rock (Mando Diao, The Hives, The Kooks...), French and German music, but also hip-hop, classical music or raggamuffin.
I'm a big fan of Star Wars, but my favorite directors are Spielberg, Ridley Scott, Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick.
I love austrian author Wolf Haas, I wrote my Master thesis on two of his books and I'm currently translating one. I also like John Irving and many more american or british novelists.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I couldn't be bothered to wash my socks, so I ordered new ones on amazon.
Teach, Learn, Share
Besides teaching languages, I can also give tours of my beautiful "second home city", Bamberg, with its breweries and its Old Town (World Heritage Site).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Anything about languages (especially translations ), sports , computers, video games... I'm interested in a lot of things and I'm always open to new suggestions. :-)
