Overview
About Me
So about my background first of all. I was born in Singapore and lived there for 14 years before moving to England. My dad was a university lecturer over there and when his contracted expired, my parents opted to move over to be closer to family.
Living over there and visiting numerous countries is where my love of travelling stemmed from. It is something I've carried on into my adults years and I couldn't be happier with where I am right now.
I like to have the occasional night out, I'm not someone who enjoys going out night after night.
I do play any instruments, but I really enjoy listening to music. I am in no way a "music snob." I will listen to anything, as long as it's good!
I enjoy cooking from time to time, but I'm certainly no professional.
I do not smoke.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people and make some life long friends in the process. I've found that it is impossible to see all the highlights and places that are worth seeing somewhere with limited time, so having someone who lives locally is always a huge benefit.
Interests
My greatest passion and interest in life is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is a martial art that I started training in a little over two years ago and it plays a huge role in my life. I've made some great friends and met some wonderful people through it and it's a great way to stay in shape.
Cars. I'm a guy. I've always been a fan of motorsports and over the last few years, I got into modifying and customising a number of my cars.
Oh and travelling, of course.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Someone once said to me I have "the most random selection of song's." There is literally something for everyone on my iPod. From rap to drum and bass, to pop and electro, I really don't have one specific genre I prefer over the others.
Movies: Anything with Leonardo DiCaprio in. Action, comdey, fantasy, I'm very easy. Just no films about terminal illness and death, come on, I'm watching a film to make me happy!!!
Books: I don't read books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When in Bolivia, with a couple of friends, I summited a mountain called Huayana Potosi. The peak was 6,088 metres above sea level and it was by far the greatest physical and mental challenge I have been through. Waking up at midnight, the altitude and lack of food definitely took its toll, but reaching the summit brought me tears and gave me such a great feeling of satisfaction.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: With training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I have picked up many useful techniques that can be used for self defence. Also, with working in the outdoors industry, I know how to construct rucksacks and a number of outdoor products.
Learn: I am always interested in learning from people and showing an interest in their passions and hobbies.
