Overview
About Me
I'm German, but grew up in Milan, Italy since my parents moved there when I was young. After graduating high school, I moved to Berlin, Germany for my studies. I've since started working as a software engineer.
CURRENT TRAVELS
One cold and gloomy Berlin morning last November, I woke up and thought, "this kind of sucks". I really don't like winter and was longing to be back in a sunny, beautiful place. At the same time, I was feeling really bored from my corporate job and decided to take nine months off, starting in September 2022. I've been in Portugal, Spain, France, the US, Mexico, Guatemala, Belgium, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand so far.
Currently exploring Taiwan before heading back home end of May :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I discovered it's pretty amazing! I'm quite outgoing and love meeting kind, inspiring new people. It's one thing to befriend strangers at a hostel, but quite another being invited stay at somebody's home. If you're willing to have completely new people crashing on your couch, you're probably the kind of person I'd like to meet!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve spent one university semester studying on a ship, with a program called Semester at Sea. I took classes in anthropology, global studies, psychology and jazz, all while traveling to different countries with 600 other students plus faculty, staff, and an amazing crew. We would have lectures in the various ship restaurants and the major ballroom half the time. The other half was spent discovering different countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Last month, I got to go back as a contractor for two weeks. Sailed from Bremerhaven to Lisbon via Amsterdam!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some programming or we can practice languages! Currently wanting to learn Spanish.
I’m also keen on cooking together!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would say I’m a decent cook, and would love to share a meal or treat you to a restaurant visit! If you have any IT issues at home or need help with the household, let me know :)
