Overview
About Me
Originally from Yorkshire, I've spent the last 15 years in Brighton (13 as a teacher in an international college, and training as a person-centred counsellor over the past 5 years) and made the decision to leave my job and cycle around the world. I have always cycled, not only to stay physically fit, but also as a means of maintaining my mental health naturally. I would describe myself as friendly, courteous, open, honest, empathic, non-judgemental and most importantly clean and tidy :)
I'm woeful at learning languages though I will always try (replace woeful with lazy).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to circumnavigate the globe by bike, and where possible I will camp, but I'd also like to experience the luxury of a bed (or couch) every once in a while (more frequently than that actually) at the same time as meeting interesting, hospitable people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all types of music. I don't have a favourite but we can safely cross mumble rap off the list. I like playing the guitar and will miss mine while cycling (even considered carrying a miniature one!). I like all the best films and none of the bad ones ;)
What's a book? Best read recently: Recovery: Freedom From Our Addictions, Russell Brand
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked the Camino De Santiago (1000km)
Quit my job to cycle around the world...if I don't do it now I never will!
