Overview
About Me
During the school year I'm a substitute teacher in all grades, kindergarten through twelfth grade, with a preference for middle and high school. I make delicious pies, go for long hikes and walks out in the the forests of northern California, and read and study Zen Buddhism and related works of Alan Watts, The Four Agreements, Peaceful Warrior, etc. I love to meet new people and try new adventures!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This summer I'm Uber driving in the Truckee/Tahoe area. Also experimenting with San Francisco and San Diego...anywhere in California. I need a place where I can come in in the middle of the night...could be for one night or multiple nights, weekdays or weekends. I am polite, respectful and quiet. Flexible on payment amount depending on the area's income potential.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like exciting music from the '70's, 80's all the way up to current artists like Keisha, Lady Gaga, Avett Brothers, Violent Femmes, Laura Marling, Weezer, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've won over 30 jury trials.
Teach, Learn, Share
My home has a couch and a spare bedroom. I'm located not far from Auburn, California, which is in the beautiful foothills outside Sacramento. I have a dog and two cats.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can make you a delicious pie, if we have all the ingredients. I can talk to you about contentment with life. I am very philosophical and humorous.
