About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meeting new people in the San Francisco Bay Area
ABOUT ME
I am a spontaneous guy who loves to travel. Trying new things keeps me going, and making new friends is one of my favorite activities. My quieter side involves working and playing on the computer or chilling out with some music and a bottle of wine.
Right now I have just moved to San Francisco, and am in the process of settling down. Once I have a place I will do whatever it takes to become a CS host, cause I love meeting new people.
PHILOSOPHY
Be open to new experiences, be spontaneous but respectful, push yourself beyond your limits, and never resist change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I am just getting into the CS community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During my section-hike of the PCT in 2012 I couch surfed with a couple amazing trail angels who opened their houses to hikers. The most amazing was near Sonora Pass in Twain Harte.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am super open to anything in the world of music. Live concerts are always fun, and I love to find new artists that I can groove to.
I will watch anything except horror or shock-gore. Just doesn't interest me.
Sci-fi and fantasy stories have enthralled me throughout my life, but I have also enjoyed books in nearly every other genre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 12th grade I sailed around the world on a tall-ship with over 40 other students. During that trip I discovered much about myself and had many mind-blowing experiences.
Later, after graduating from university, I hiked 1,050 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail from the US-Mexican border to about 3 hours east of San Francisco. This adventure left me with an immense love of our world and restored my faith in humanity.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am interested in learning pretty much anything. I love the outdoors and would enjoy expanding my knowledge in hiking/scrambling, rock climbing, skiing, and water sports (like sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and surfing). It's hard to limit what you want to learn when you love learning. :)
I have experience teaching many kinds of computer skills including: programming, graphic art, photographic editing, office, and general computing. I also have worked with a lot of hardware in my life and can teach/work on networking, a/v and server installations. In terms of outdoorsy things I have a lot of hiking experience and have sailed quite a bit in my life.
I also love to cook, and enjoy sharing/learning techniques and recipes.
