I am originally from Los Angeles and was raised there and other parts of the state until I left the area as part of my employment relocation. Now I am retired from a 27-year career in the commercial airline transportation industry, and returned to academia several years ago, after multiple sabbaticals, most of them involuntary. With any luck, I'll hopefully be able to eek out a dissertation at some point; perhaps by the time I'm officially a senior citizen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in the midst of a relocation effort and needing to commute frequently on behalf of my elderly mother in order to assure her continuing care. I do expect to be in a position to host others once I've accomplished a satisfactory arrangement.
