ABOUT ME

I am a fun loving, easy going Irish girl hoping to see more of the world over the next year. Im friendly, love meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. Bit of a health lover so I love to cook delicious food! I love music, especially live music, street music, etc.
I am very passionate about art, I draw and paint and love craft making. I make alot of my own clothes and hope to maybe someday sell my own crafts and clothes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment Im doing some travelling around Europe, chasing the sun to escape the cold, dark and looooong Irish winter. I begin my travels in France where I am working doing the grape Harvest to make wine. After this I want to seek some warmer climates. I want to meet lots of differnt people from lots of different places with lots of different ideas. I love meeting new people. In the town where I am from, Galway, there are always new travellers, musicians and street performers, so I am used to constantly meeting new travellers,making friends and learning about their lives and where they are from. I love this! When I come back home from travelling I hope to host some old friends and of course some new.

Interests

Im a lover of all things circus and carnival related. I hula hoop in my spare time and am part of a cultural performance group called Ragairi. We perform at festivals in Ireland, acting out old Celtic Myths with circus performance and drumming. We make all our own costumes for these performances so I am very interested in making my own clothes and things. I am hoping to attend art college in Ireland next year but would like to do some more travelling first and see more of the world before doing a 4 year degree. Im passionate about food and love making yummy meals out of little ingredients.
I love to be outdoors and hike and swim. However in Ireland we are limited to only the summer months to have fun outdoors, so I hope to get lots done while travelling!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love old movies. Anything with Clark Gable, James Stewart, Gregory Peck. All Hitchcock films!
Books... Gabriel García Márquez is definately my favorite writer. I highly recommend 100 Years Of Solitude. Also cant beat George Orwells writing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in the beautiful sacromonte caves in Granada.
Performed at many different Irish music festivals acting out old celtic myths.
Cliff dived into beautiful Lagoons in Paradise Valley in Morocco.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am fluent in English so therefor I could help to teach and improve people english.
I am also big into arts and crafts, jewellery making and clothes making and would love to share this with people.
I want to learn more languages and more skills as well as about other cultures lifestyle and music.
