I love international development and public policy, but mostly while living abroad :-).

This is my second time living in Africa, after being in Equatorial Guinea. In Djibouti, I will be working for the next 2 years in the Ministry of Finance as an Advisor in Aid Coordination. Prior to that I worked for 10 years in international organisations, NGOs and development organisations mostly in Latin America.

Love good food and conversation and obviously some clubbing ( really looking forward to getting to know Djibouti's night!) and, work permitting, travelling a lot within Djibouti and in Eastern Africa (maybe I'll be staying at your house!). Almost forgot: planning to do a lot of diving in Djibouti!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new in town and I am looking forward to make friends and doing some social life!

Obviously, once I settle down I will accept some couch surfers!

LOCAL ETIQUETTE
1.- Treat locals with respect, they don't have to put up with your caprices
2.- Be gentle with your hosts and friends: they open their house, friends and networks: the world doesn't revolve around your plans
3.- Being a narcissist instagrammer who doesn't really care about local life and comes to Djibouti just to continue with their "being there, done that" is a definitely no-no

Interests

The usual suspects: dining out, clubbing and enjoying a good book or a movie. I love card games and playing sports and just lazing on the beach.

2 outdoors hobbies: diving and trekking. I think I will be able to enjoy both while in Djibouti!
