About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pursue an Art career in New York City

ABOUT ME

I'm chatty, open minded, energetic, positive and enjoy being around people. I'm not too comfortable with boasting about how cool I am here but I can guarantee I'm someone worth meeting. Right now, my biggest ambition is to live of my art without compromising it's meaning and intention. I basically travel to attend art events and do my best to not be a colonizer

PHILOSOPHY

Doing whatever I want whenever I want. Never living as others think I should. Being responsible about it and respectful towards everyone else.
Learning, discovering and exploring constantly and never losing the will of doing so.
Staying free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't offer a couch right now, as I don't have a place of my own. But I like being a nice, respectful and helpful guest. Cooking once or twice, helping out with something if I can or giving a piece of artwork in exchange for hosting me are things I enjoy doing. Also, since tourist accommodation has destroyed the island I was born in and is doing the same with the whole planet, I find CouchSurfing a much better solution, where exchange and goodwill replace greed and profit making.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First time I did CouchSurfing was in Marseille (I moved there for work) and my hosts became my really good friends for the 7 months I stayed in that city.

The second was in Hong Kong, on my way to an Art event in Guangzhou, China.

The third was in Leipzig while attending a Comic and Printmaking festival.

All three experiences have been very meaningful to me, and I have become friends with all my hosts so far.

Interests

Art is my thing, check out my stuff:

I also love riding my bike; without it I feel incomplete. It's my favorite traveling device and I'm hoping that sooner than later I get the time to organize a very long trip on it.
And traveling, of course, is something I love doing... although I'm trying to find ways of moving around, meeting new people and exploring new places in a meaningful and respectful way.
I care about social and environmental issues; I come from Mallorca, where tourism and greed have destroyed most of the islands priceless treasures.

What else am I interested in??? Cinema, animation, politics, trashy pop music, sci-fi, hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, cooking, learning, languages, comics, swimming, pop culture, guys... can't think of anything else right now.

I'm dreaming of crossing the ocean on a sailing boat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My hitchhiking / trainhopping trip through the USA

Watching the sunset over the clouds in San José del Pacífico, Mexico. And getting lost in the mountains with clouds coming and going really fast... only to find our way back by following a dog that happened to show up.

Cicling over a bridge under a really HUGE storm up in Fehmarn, Germany; on my way to Copenhagen. Rough weather conditions on a bike make me feel so alive...
