One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Kenya: While studying a napping family of elephants, they suddenly woke up and began trumpeting and screaming- running forward quickly with their ears flapping. I thought it was an aggressive display until i saw them happily collide with a mother family of elephants and begin patting patting each other with their trunks. Turns out, the matriarchs of the two families were sisters and the family groups hadn't seen each other in 6 months - the elephants were just excited to see their cousins!
