Overview
About Me
Hi surfers, I am so excited to join the club and meet new people. I am currently in grad school in Houston TX, studying Counseling Psychology. I grew up in Johannesburg South Africa. I am definitely
an extrovert who, just like most millennials, like to travel. For fun I love to camp, ride bikes and dance- in fact I like dancing so much I got my teaching certificate in contemporary dance. I have many sisters, 5 to be exact and 2 brothers, its complicated. I am very detailed oriented and organized when it comes to planning my holidays, but once I'm on vacation its whatever goes goes. I've travelled quite a bit, I've enjoyed some of Europe, the States and Africa, hopefully Asia and South America will see me soon. I enjoy snow vacations just as much as beach ones.
In other news, I love to read novels when I'm not studying, and love art (independent) films more than commercial ones. I am a animal person, love dogs and cats equally. My goal this year is learn basic Chinese, see three different states in America, and master the art of wine tasting (it takes a lot of practice, apparently).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have 2 years left of grad school and I’m trying to make the best of my time here in the US. I love meeting people and if only my budget would have allowed I would have been a professional traveler by now.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favorite movies include A beautiful mind, Shawshank redemption, One flew over the coo coo's nest, and Silver linings playbook.
Books: Mao's last dancer, Secret life of bees and Sing unburied sing.
Music: I can honestly never answer this simply because I am not a die heart fan of any band and my music taste ajusts to my mood. But this being said, I grew up loving RHCP, John Mayer, Tracey Chapmen and Dave Matthews band.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
