I am a social and enthusiastic person with many passionate interests. This profile is a bit outdated as I wrote it about 8 years ago when I was traveling full-time, but my character hasn't changed.

At the moment (April 2024) im travelling with my boyfriend Julius. He is relaxed and calm and respectful, knowledgable and kind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I couchsurf because I like to meet interesting locals who can tell me their stories and show me their home town/country from their perspective. The reason I travel and couchsurf is to find connections to cultures that are different from mine, and to meet people who can tell me all about those cultures, habits, their history and the places they know most about.

I see couch surfing as a completely different experience from a hostel or b&b, namely meeting likeminded people and sharing time with people who can only bring you new life lessons.

Music, Movies, and Books

We can definitely TALK films, books and music! (by which I mean that that's way more interesting than writing all my own preferences down)
Because I am incredibly keen to learn new things I read heaps - fiction and non-fiction, essays, and a lot of research papers at work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had all kinds of side jobs for 4 years to save up a ton of money in order to go round the world at 18.

During the trip I've done a couple of amaing things, including skydiving in Hawaii, scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef, watching the sunset at the top of the 'highest mountain of the world', cliff diving of as high as the 6th floor into a shark-filled bay, ziplined into a mud cave, and was on a (occasionally disastrous) 2 month long road trip with a stranger.

Teach, Learn, Share

If learning Dutch is what you want, I can definitely help you out there. Also I'm bursting with psychology and cogneuroscience facts. I taught some courses for a bit and tutored for 7 years so teaching is no problem.
I'd love to learn anything new, so I'm open.
