Currently in the UK on a work/travel visa. I'm usually a pretty quiet guy but a good drink fixes that. I love trying different food and drink (I'm most familiar with beer, working on the rest though), live shows (be it music/dance/theater), getting active once in a while (whether it is hiking, skiing, or going to the gym), history, nature, and on occasion even working. I want to get out of my comfort zone and try something new.

So far everywhere I've traveled, after all the touristy things are done, I've found it's the people that make the place. I look forward to meeting new people and new experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I grew up in a farming community so I'm pretty handy with light maintenance. I've worked as a cook a couple times and know my way around a kitchen (can't guarantee results but I haven't killed anybody yet). Sometimes I think I'm funny (results also not guaranteed). I like things tidy and clean up after myself.
During the spring and summer I usually end up working at a children's wilderness camp (so far as a group leader, maintenance, cook, and camp director). So if you wanted to know anything about compasses, canoeing, or Canadian wildlife I guess I could help you out there. During the fall and winter I've worked in childcare and staffing, which can be a little less interesting unless you want to hear about the general issues in those areas in Manitoba.
If there is time after chores I enjoy sharing a few beer and having a good time.
