ABOUT ME

My friends describe me as an hyperactive and "culo de mal asiento" fellow. And they are so damn right but I I am also a very positive, smiling and happy man who likes spreading happiness around him wherever he is. I am very tolerant and open minded with all the difference in the world which unlike some others do, I regard it as a very enriching thing. I love backpacking and meeting awesome travellers from all around the world and have and have a deep experience with local people and their culture of the countries I visit. TRAVEL DOES MATTER. It makes you definitely a more tolerant and better one. It is indeed a way of life, something that only the ones who travel can understand.
From the very instant we are brought to life, the countdown is on so I do not why do people worry about having a bigger car, a bigger house, a bigger everything...I do love life and I do not want to waste it in banal things or even becoming the richest man in the cemetery. I just want to enjoy this life with all my strength, love passionately and share because sharin' is lovin'.

PHILOSOPHY

Smile, live, smile again and let others live in peace. I don't believe in religions but I do believe in life philosophy. I'm keen on Buddhism because it's peaceful and it promotes respect and love not only among humans but animals as well. Besides, I am interested in tibetan meditation. It helps me keeping my mind under control.
Each of us should live according to universival principles of what is good and avoid doing everything that might harm the 'Pachamama" or our fellows.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am so glad to have joined this so special Community. What can I say? I think it's an amazing idea to have a network which helps us to get in touch with people from all around the world sharing the same spirit if life. To be honest, I haven't had yet any negative experience with any of the CS's I have met. I just looove it!

I love travelling, reading classics, watching alternative cinema, swimming, all kind of outdoor sports such as surfing, skiing,climbing, trekking...and road trips either on two wheels (bicycle or motorbike -I love riding bikes-) or in my gipsy-like-van. I love partying, having interesting conversations with interesting people while enjoying a good 'çay' and.... dancing!!! I am a salsa and bachata dance enthusiastic and I can spend so many hours dancing and sweating as hell!

I love travel literature and History books. I'm the kind of man who believe History is the key to understand present. My favourite book? The grapes of wrath by John Steinbeck.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Being invited to a local wedding when travelling in a tiny bus around the Black Sea Coast in Turkey. Did I accept? Of course I did and it was just awesome!!
Surviving a terrible bicycle accident a few years ago is also a higlight in my life. It's been something that has undoubtedly changed the way I see life. It's quite odd the way traumatic events you experience can suddenly change the way you appreciate life. From that day on I have learned to enjoy life through its most simple things.

I can help you with Spanish and also teach you some Catalan. I can have a conversation in English, French, Italian or Portugese so if you are interested in languages exchange meetings I am in. I can also teach basic steps for salsa and bachata if you are interested in. You gotta try, it is so funny!!! I love cooking too and I can cook some delicious dishes besides the popular "tortilla de papas".
