About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking the leap, following my dream

ABOUT ME

Hi there, I'm a 31 year old Art Director/Designer relocating to LA from San Francisco.

I resigned my cushy position at a San Francisco television station to come to Los Angeles to pursue new career opportunities and fulfill my dream of being a movie title designer (think Saul Bass.)

I think I'm one of those rare beasts that loves the work he does.

I'm gay, friendly, educated, love art and design (in all it's forms.) Big fan of the Eamses and I feel at home with a good documentary, or a Pedro Almodóvar film.

Last but not least I love coffee, and most small dogs. But don't worry I don't have one if you're wondering.

PHILOSOPHY

There is no gene for the Human spirit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies/Directors: Cerebral science fiction, GATTACA, (closeted Star Trek fan,) Pedro Almodóvar, Hitchcock, Kubrick, the Coens, Jim Jarmusch, Todd Solondz and even Spielberg (he helped define the 80s and hence my childhood.) All these are in no particular order of preference.

TV: Ironically I don't watch a whole lot of it, but I did enjoy Caprica, and I watch plenty of Doctor Who.

Music: I usually go for the electro-clash/80's inspired tunes. I've been a big fan of Fever Ray lately, along with it The Knife, Vitalic, Fischerspooner, Neon Neon, Daft Punk, Midnight Juggernauts, Hot Chip, Calvin Harris, The Presets, Röyksopp, Blonde Redhead

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled quite a bit, there are many countless amazing experiences I've shared. Rather than a place, I feel like it's been amazing to work with some amazing, creative, inspiring, wonderful people throughout my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Show me around Los Angeles, please!

I can show you the in's and out's of typography.

How to tie a bowtie.

I can tell you what a Tricorder, Phaser, Warp Drive or even Sonic Screwdriver work. Well, maybe the first three.
