Hi!

I'm Carlo, a 23 year old cultural anthropology student.
As most of the people on here, I rather enjoy travelling and meeting new people.
I am in love with the middle east and eastern europe, and as such I frequent both parts of the world as much as I can. I am also a nature enthusiast, spending a lot of time hiking, climbing, mountainbiking, etc.

I do like to smoke a joint every once in a while, you're hereby cordially invited.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a cultural anthropologist, I am always interested in meeting new people and learning from them. Couchsurfing is a perfect opportunity to do just that. I also feel like it is a way to (partially) repay for the kindness that many people have given me while I was on the road. I intend to spread this hospitality that so many have offered me to my little place in Utrecht as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Smuggled cigarettes over the border of Iraq.
Broke into the ancient city of Petra in Jordan.
Almost got bombed by Turkish armed forces.
Hiked through the hottest desert on earth in july.
