My name is Carlos and I'm a Spanish 🇪🇸 IR master student who is interested about discovering the farthest corners of this world. When I started using Couchsurfing many years ago, I used to travel alone, but now I have a travel and life partner called Noémie who comes from the westernmost part of France (Breizh! 🇫🇷). She is also an IR master student in France and studies languages.

We are a easy-going, open-minded, organized and polite couple who share the same hobby: travelling. We would love meeting people and making some friends abroad. We can offer you interesting cultural facts and linguistic help if you want to!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have grown up in a Spanish little town in the middle of nowhere. Since I was a little kid, I always wanted to move from there and discover new places because I got tired of always seeing the same things and people over me.
One day, a friend of mine recommended me Couchsurfing as a place where you can find a free stay. "That's awesome! I will save so much money", I thought. However, I quickly realized it's entirely not about money. It's all about people. Their generosity, faith, frankness, welcoming... That's the best lesson you can get. That is why I'm on Couchsurfing. To find people who can do things without a profit, who make me feel special just because I am myself, who can share my smile and give me theirs, people who restore the believe that humans are best creatures in the world.
And of course I love travelling! And travelling gave me a few big lessons in life. For instance, I used to worry a lot about things that would never happen. I looked for solutions to problems which have never existed. Of course it is always good to have a plan B but you should never regret that something went wrong because at the end everything works as it should. You missed your flight? No worries, maybe while waiting at the airport for a next one you will meet somebody who will change your life. If you cannot change the atmosphere, change the attitude!
Couchsurfing brings me a big list of advantages: discovering new places, meeting new people, living with them and sharing our culture.

We are glad to describe and share our experiences with people. We can explain you how situation and daily life is in Spain and France. We can also speak about any topic and adapt like meditation, psychology or even history. We can teach you some linguistic tips or some words in the languages we know/study! Spending time together can be only positive.
