Hi everyone, my name is Carlo originally from Latin America Peru (I am so proud to be Latino). I started my journey in 2016 when I went to Southeast Asia for a month with two of my best friends, it was my first experience backpacking and it was amazing. From there my passion for travel and getting to know the world was born, so I decided to leave my home, friends, work and family and I moved to New Zealand, the country where I have been living for more than one year.

I am a person that loves his life and I try to enjoy every day with happiness, I am so passionate about my dreams and goals and helping people. I am a really outgoing person that enjoys travelling, partying, meeting new people, walking, spending time with friends and family and a really cold beer and ceviche. I have a degree in Industrial Engineering and I worked in the Mining Industry in Peru for 4 years.

I have a passion meeting new cultures and different customs and sharing and learning from experiences with new people, that is why I would like to host new friends and be hosted in different places in all the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am so passionate to know more about the world, the different cultures, religion and people and I want the people to know more about my Peruvian and Latin culture. I am a person that loves helping people and make them happy, so I am so sure that I will do that while I am hosting travellers and while I am being hosted.

Interests

I love being outdoors, going for a hike and climbing a mountain with an amazing view at the end of the trail. I also enjoy taking landscapes photos while I am camping or hiking in the mountains.

I like craft beers in particular IPA's and also like a good coffee.

My other passion is travel as much as possible and keep learning and growing personally and professionally.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am from Latin America so the Spanish music is in my veins. I love reggaeton and salsa, but also Spanish rock from the 90's. I do listen to English music as well but more the chill style or reggae. But I don't really have any genre, in particular, I just enjoy good music.

I am not a real fan of movies, just the ones on Sundays night eating popcorn and sweets.

I love reading. My favourites genres are thrillers, self-help and biographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leave everything in Peru to pursue my dreams and goals in the world. Now I am in New Zealand but later I will be in another country. Wish me luck!

Teach: Spanish, Peruvian Cuisine, New Zealand and Peruvian culture, Working Holiday in New Zealand, engineering, technology and all my tips to be happy as much as possible.
Learn: I have a lot of things to learn so far and I trust that the best way to do them is travelling, being away in a place where you can know yourself better, know about your dreams and what makes you happy. Let's travel because at the end the countries are borders but we are humans and we are all the same.
