About Me

Hello! My name is Carlos, I am Chilean and after working for many years of my life, it is time to realize a dream: to travel the world and know all the beautiful things that surround it. One of those things is to live new experiences, meet people and be able to offer a little of my country to all of you.

I would appreciate your joining me in this search for new memories, which will be eternal

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a platform designed for cultural exchange, in a way as pure as living with locals; and in the same way I can make known the culture and experiences acquired in my country (very interesting if you would like to learn about earthquakes)

Interests

I like music, I play drums even though I'm a bit rusty; I like cooking, I want to learn how to prepare dishes from around the world. And of course, if you like to talk about engineering (mining, materials), here they have someone they can talk to Ajajaja

Music, Movies, and Books

Uuuf, here we can be talking nonstop for weeks, let's leave this item for when we are drinking a juice or a beer. BUT, you need to know: I'm a religious fan of Rush (Canadian progressive rock band) and Star Wars

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived many incredible moments, but for now I can tell you two:

1.- I lived in situ one of the most powerful earthquakes in the world, on February 27, 2010 .... Friends, it was something brutal, 8.8 degrees on the Richter scale, I could not stand and less walk ... That day I thought that he would die. I can tell you my experiences.

2.- Throughout my travels I have met very valuable people, but one in particular captivates me: have you heard about the former president of Uruguay, Pepe Mujica? ...., im visit him in his modest house on the outside of Montevideo, and HE RECEIVED ME!!!! , we drank a wine, ate cookies and talked about the world .... A magical experience. If you do not know Pepe Mujica, search Google for speeches at the UN.
