Hi everyone! I'm Carlos Gutiérrez, a 28-year-old enthusiast researcher from Madrid, Spain. I'm passionate about exploring new cultures and meeting people from all walks of life.

Currently, I'm doing my predoctoral stay in Tokyo. I would really like to immerse myself in the incredible food, stunning landscapes and japanese music scene. Personally, I am a big fan of japanese underground music (mathrock, breakcore, ambient, noise, avantgarde, etc.) so I would be very happy to find people that have a similar music taste! Moreover, I play several musical instruments, so we could even start a small band ;).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am going to spend the next six months living in Tokyo, so I would really like to immerse myself into the Tokyo life. As I already have accomodation, I am not seeking for hosts, just for people to engage in marvellous experiences together!

Music, Movies, and Books

For the music, my taste range is huge. I can listen to a lot of different music genres. Metal, jazz, ambient, electronic... When speaking about films and books, I would say science fiction is my way to go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I toured with my music band all around Europe! Also I attended some international robotic congresses. I know this may not seem very incredible, but for me is an incredible achievement!
