When I'm travelling I'm not only enchanted by the uniqueness of landscapes, ethnicities, and cultures, but most of all by the sheer diversity we can find in each and every person we meet on the road. I'm still young, so its hard to describe myself with any kind of consistency. Moreso, I am keenly aware of how much every place I visit, and every experience I have has changed me.

I'm an academic at heart, possessed by the power of inquiry. I study physics, but Arabic and Musicology on the side. I play the trumpet, Penny Whistle and am currently learning to play the accordion, mostly because It sounds like the perfect campfire instrument.

I also love to write. It used to be fantasy and science fiction writing with grandeous settings and wild adventures but more recently I've found pleasure in writing about more grounded topics. I like to think that the world has begun to offer me up plenty of stories to delegate, as opposed to create. Not to imply that this form of writing is not imaginative. Instead, the imagination relies on a keen observation of multiple angles. A diverse perspective if you will. And I think that I am very good at fabricating these diverse pespectives in everything that I do.

I couchsurf because it provides a perfect opportunity to meet the people that inhabit the lands I am trying to discover. I cannot say I have travelled somewhere without truly getting to know its populace and the rich culture they inherit. Otherwise, I just love talking and meeting people. The sheer abundance of differing stories, lives and faces is was excites me most about travelling.

I love music and I will take my instruments with me wherever I go (Flute and trumpet) so I can always offer a tune to play or a jam with someone. I also love to dance salsa and love to teach anyone who would like.
