I'm a part-time PhD researcher in sociology of the Middle East at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland). However, libraries and routine are not my my cup of tea... Although of course I do love reading!! Let's say that my research is my hobby and it brings me to different places and gets me to meet awesome people, from different backgrounds and from around the world.

Unfortunately this can be an expensive hobby and the uni doesn't pay much for it... But that's not a big problem!! Especially, because I love working in a kitchen during the winter seasons in the Swiss Alps, as well as, driving a van for different cinematic projects around Spain.

To avoid being just a lost tourist... but to meet locals and live the places in a different way, there's much beyond Lonely Planet!!
