About Me

I'm a Venezuelan biologist and enjoy so much travel but also to meet people, talk, share histories, food, dance and make friends from different cultures and lifestyles. I'm currently living and studying in Chile. I really love nature and wildlife as well as outdoor activities. My work always has been related to nature and people, sometimes traveling to very remote and pristine locations, as well as with indigenous communities and undergraduate students while teaching ecology, biology, and related topics. I also like to play chess ;-). I consider being an open-minded person, respectful and adaptable, clean, and always try to do my best to be an excellent guest! I have been in the USA, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, and Panama, and know very well Venezuela, where I lived most of my life.
I would like to meet and share with people of different cultures, professions, and interests as well to share with them my experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about Couchsurfing recently, and I like their concept. Seems like the Couchsurfing community is growing up fast, and I think is a great way to share with people around the world, improving the travel experience, but also a great opportunity to learn about history, culture and have fun!

I like music from a variety of genres from instrumental to tropical rhythms (for dancing), but also bossa nova, rock, alternative rock, and pop, gaitas and other folkloric Venezuelan music. About movies, I like true based histories, documentaries but also science-fiction and comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I will love to learn about the host's culture and experiences. I can teach how to dance salsa, how to prepare arepas and other Venezuelan fast food dishes, to play chess, speak Spanish (language) and share some very interesting science facts about animal behavior (including us!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Share histories and knowledge about wildlife, science, and Latinamerica, prepare some Venezuelan traditional food, but also I will like to hear about the host' experience, their city, country, and language!
