About Me

All about me? ALL about ME? Really?!?!?

Well...

I love asking myself questions, never giving things for granted. There are as many ways of understanding life as people in this world, and you always have something to learn and incorporate to your own perspective. I believe being open and respectful makes you a better person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hosting and surfing has been one of my most amazing and personally rewarding experiences. A few couchsurfers have become important people in my life.

Interests

Reading is lately what I do the most. I read a lot on psychology and sociology specially when related to science and technology.

I've always been kind of a melomaniac and there was a time when my head was somewhat of a music encyclopedia. I played guitar and bass in several bands and projects, and tap danced for a while (and hoping to get back to it sometime!).

Music, Movies, and Books

This could get a bit convoluted...

Some of my personal heroes are Stanley Kubrick, Marlon Brando, Bill Murray, Hermann Hesse, John Coltrane, Jack white, Cormac McCarthy, Wassily Kandinsky, Igor Stravinsky and Edward Hopper.

Some of my favourite bands are Radiohead, Oceansize, Mars Volta, QOTSA, White Stripes, Mamá Ladilla, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath. I love bop and hard bop jazz.

I re-read Steppenwolf and Siddhartha from time to time as well as Space Odyssey.

Films. I love anything by Paul Thomas Anderson, Sanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago I had the opportunity to blend with two friends some of my most beloved interest: music and bicycles. We packed up our guitars, drums and amplifiers, made a cart out of recycled material and travelled around Spanish towns with a didactic musical theatre show: "Los Musicletos". We experienced interaction with people in a profound way, avoiding money and proved how far your will and a beautiful concept can take you!
