ABOUT ME

Well... I try to be better all the time. And when I say that, I don't mean better than anyone else, because I think that, we are so different, that "better than" doesn't apply on a civilized mind anymore.
Just better... at what I do and what I want to become. I really try to be better at the way I treat my environment, knowing that I depend on it. Better at the way I approach people. Before I did it with skepticism on different levels, but the more I feel sure about myself and my environment, improving my ways to interact with other human beings it's just necessary. Seems way more easy and faster now to connect with someone at more than just a superficial level.
I try to improve my surroundings all the time. I feel more capable every day to see the good on everything first, and sometimes only.
I love to cook... People say I'm good, but I know my place, amateur for now. Nevertheless... the experience of sharing a moment with others enjoying something you created is priceless!
I'm a photographer... in training! XD. I've made photography mi favorite pass time for the last 6 years. And I've combined it with outdoor activities. I love to run, I'm no professional, just fur fun. And recently, I started road biking after a few years of mountain biking. I love it, a completely different experience.
I worked in interior remodeling for a few years. I'm very handy and offering help is a pleasure to me.
I think I jumped to the next section in this paragraph... XD

Currently, I'm traveling. And I will be for a while. But I'm trying to get my brothers in Chile to host people in our town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing... I just discovered this thing. So far I've been hosted once, but I had such a great time! I met Ralph, and currently I'm staying with him in Franklin Tennessee, planning my next move. :)

Interests

Exercising my mind and body. I need to be at optimum condition if I want to dedicate my life to a cause that will need me to get to where people are.
Art. I just love it. I can appreciate an image through more than just my sight. I really feel lucky for having that side of me well developed. I enjoy painting, drawing, sculpting(small scale) taking pictures of course and building stuff! :)
Naturally, with the observation of a piece of art, you try to understand and analyze the reasons for the details on the artwork. What the artist is trying to communicate, because the beauty of it is, that through art you can say things that our limited use of language can't. Even though I enjoy poetry! XD I'm a good reader but not so good at reading books.. I get bored fast doing the same thing for too long. I just recently was able to go through a 3 hour long movie without talking or getting something to eat! I feel like a grown up now! XD

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy well composed music. Thoughtful lyrics and a appropriate rhythm.
Ska, reggae, alt. rock in general. Electronic. latin. A bit of everything i guess.
I like independent movies, because generally, for the lack of resources as opposed to a hollywood movie, the actors, directors, producers etc need to be as good and creative as possible to compensate for the lack of flashy stuff and be able to survive in the market.
Books...I've read some, I doubt my list will impress anyone. I'm more of an "article or paper kind of guy" XD

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

And the day I understood that the universe was expanding, after being taught that the universe we compose was infinite... It just blew mi mind!
And obviously many wonderful things I've seen and done through my amazing experience on this earth.
But if I have to think of a recent one...
For my farewell party, my friend Mario and I decided to throw a party and feed the people a whole pig! Suckling pig. And 80 pound Organic Amish raised pig kill only 4 days before it was cooked. So I built a "Chinese Box" a wooden box covered on aluminum sheets or foil stapled to the interior of the box, throughout, with a cast iron rack on the middle of it, so the pig would rest on it and a steel rack on top with aluminum sheets forming a lid. That was where the charcoal rests and will cook the pig in about 4,5 hours if the heat is kept constant. I bought all the materials that day, in the afternoon, went to pick up the pig at Union Market in Dc where Mario works. He seasoned the pig with oranges, lemons and fish sauce, and kept it in the fridge on the restaurant he works at, and I started building the box at 6:30 pm. Ate the next day at 4am! Awesome pig! Even though I'm vegetarian.. XD
