About Me

CURRENT MISSION

At the moment, I'm focused on hiking, trekking and camping. Although I always keep on my priorities to meet new people as well.

ABOUT ME

I'm an open minded person that loves to spend time with people, discover amazing places (mountains, nice landscapes, towns), meet new people, learn new cultures, eat new dishes and get to cook them and do trekking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CouchSurfing a few years ago so I could do a hitchhiking trip with a friend of mine in Southern Norway and Southern Sweden. We wanted to do trekkings, walk parts of the trip and either camp or do homestays. It was a total of 30 days and we got accepted by at least one person in each city on our way. Sadly we couldn't do the trip at the end due to personal reasons, but since then I kept in this fantastic online community so I could try to host somebody or be hosted in my trips. I think getting to meet locals is exactly what makes the difference in a trip, especially if your kind of trips are cultural ones.

Interests

I really enjoy to have talks about everything with known or unknown people, I love hiking and travelling, and I'm really interested on learning new languages.

I like sports as well, my passion is winter sports, mainly ski, but I have fun with mountain biking, padel, swimming...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like pretty much every kind of music, but my prefered genres are Rock, Metal and Original Soundtracks. My favorite bands are Muse, Radiohead and Mumford & Sons.

Movies: Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Inception, The Last Samurai, Into the Wild.

Books: I really like reading, it doesn't matter the genre. I have mostly read Dan Brown books, Ken Follet, Stieg Larsson, Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Lately I've been more interested in cultural, philosophical and sociological books, since I'm trying to widen my mental boundaries and open to other ways of thinking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a beautiful bath near Stavanger (Norway), in the middle of the night with some luminous marine plants.

I drove 2.200km on the north of Norway (Finmark) with 15 people and 3 cars in February (completely covered by snow!!! :)

I swam with elephants in Eastern Cambodia and washed them. It's really weird the feeling of their skin, soft but strong at the same time.

I hitchhiked Japan from North to South (more than 1.500km) in less than a month while meeting up with fantastic and kind people from all over Japan. I believe this has been the most important part of my trip, since I got a lot of time to share with Japanese people and get to meet them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach several cooking recipes, like salmon and veggies (Norwegian style), quiche Lorraine, Spanish omelette, paella (or other kind of rice dishes from Spain), spring rolls Vietnamese style, or Beef Stroganoff.

I enjoy learning facts from new cultures and languages.

I can share anything I have with you, but what I like to share the most are smiles and deep talks. I really love talking with people, laughing and helping others with whatever I can. I really like sharing food as well :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Delicious Spanish meals or recipes from all over the world that I have been learning during the past years, cultural facts from Spain, Norway or the bits I've learnt from the countries I've visited or with what I've been told by other people.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Malta, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
