Hi everyone! I'm Carlos from Ecuador. I love meeting new people, sharing life stories and learning about people. I make a living directing the American Corner in the Local Univeristy in my city. I am also an English highschool teacher in a blind institution, which some would call " very challenging" but I just see it as "doing my thing ever single day. I cherish the freedom to choose how I live my life, try to be authentic and upfront. I am very ambitious and perseverant. I hope to be able to couch surf and meet so many great new people through this platform.

I also want to say that I like to be healthy and take care of my-self, I am personally a tech guy myself, try out new food, play video games and board games and best of all, hanging out with my friends and people I meet through CS.

I'm ready for some adventure: I am backpacking through the whole world in the next years. And I'm happy to meet some more great CS'rs!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy hosting people from all over the world that come to visit in Ecuador, as well as surfing with others. As a fast learner, I am inspired for people's life experiences, their achivements and the journeys of others. I think that connecting with people from all over the globe, learning about their journeys and cultures, enriches my life. This is why I like to spend time with surfers and hosts during visits.

Aside from the obvious "Meet new people, who need a place to stay in the last minute." I can say this is the best chance to get to meet somebody and have lots of fun that was not thought at first.

I'm currently listening to: Pop music, electronic , and folk.
I love: The Fifth Element and Resident Evil movies. I just wacthed Sakura Cardcaptor series.
I enjoy play horror games and rpg like pokemon! I read the fifth element book and resident evil novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard for me to pinpoint to events. But overall I am proud to be following my dreams and that I have actually become a computers science engineer and an english teacher, even if it often isn't nearly as glamorous as it sounds. Doing what I love has gotten me a great life, I have a great and no-stressful job, I love what I do, I ma happy for me to be succesful and life and I feel like I am there, it's a lot of fun!

ABOUT MY STAY
I always try to leave places cleaner than how I found them. I do not smoke, but I am 420 friendly. I am a night-owl and like to go out at nights.
Full disclosure: I have been told that I sometimes talk in my sleep!! If you are a very light sleeper in the same room, this might be an issue for you.
