À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

Express myself through global communication

ABOUT ME

I'm an Adventurer and a person who originally comes from a very small country so starting from a very young age, I had to learn languages in order to communicate with people from other countries.

My life changed direction when I was 17 and left my origins for an exchange-program in South America, for the first time I was really by myself in a place which was very different from my own and in order to manage daily life, I had to learn Spanish.

Since then I have devoted my life to expanding my boundaries and to learning new, interesting things from any source! I have so many traveling plans that they are virtually impossible to execute in a time smaller than a lifetime and I'm really happy that I understood this when I was really young.

Eventually I want to understand the people globally, to travel and know all the continents and to communicate in all the major languages of the world!

PHILOSOPHY

I want to live my life being happy in a way that doesn't do any damage for other people or for the planet. I personally think that we humans are destroying our planet and that we CAN make a difference and find a way to to satisfy the needs of everyone and still be gentle to the nature. This will, however, require major amounts of change in many facets of our existence. We have come to a point where we have the possibility to start taking the right steps towards a future of abundance. These steps we have to take together.

The world is interconnected and we, the people, are the connections.

P.S

Please do not send me a request if you are the type of person who gets all emotional about not even getting a response for the request. I might not even have seen the request because you know how much emails people get these days.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed on numerous sofas and also hosted a bunch of people

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had many couch surfing experiences and one of them stands out from the rest. In 2011 I went to Serbia with my friends and after staying some time in Beograd, me and one friend decided to leave to Bosnia and to Croatia in order to explore the Balkans.

We took the bus to Sarajevo with no clue about the country, city, currency or what so ever, packed with the mentality that things tend to work out in the process..

In the bus we met a Portuguese guy who had a Lonely Planet guide book so I asked if I could check out some things from there. He said that no problem, just take a look. After we had been chatting for a while, it turned out that he was a couch surfer who was going to surf on someones couch.

After the arrival to Sarajevo, me and my friend met the couch surfers, and were also invited to surf on the couch.

Things did work out...

Centres d'intérêt

I like to learn new skills that make me more capable of living life to the fullest.

Listening to good music is something that has to take place every day.

Traveling has become my way of life but there is especially one form of traveling from place A to place B that gives me the most thrills, roadtrips! The longest roadtrip that I've completed was 11000 km in Eastern Europe a couple of years ago and in 2013 I rode 3800 km through Vietnam with a motorbike, it was breathtaking and I loved it. In 2014, I went to Indonesia and bought a motorbike in Jakarta, crossed the Island of Java. In 2015 I traversed Russia from North to South with a motorbike, crossing over the Caucasus all the way to Armenia. In 2016 I drove from Rumania through Europe to northernmost Norway. I love the feeling of driving with a motorbike, knowing that I have all the necessary trekking gear plus food and water to stay in the wild for a couple of weeks. Being by myself on the road or in the nature takes me out of my comfort zone...

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Shamanic music, Native Indian flute, space music, classical...

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I travelled through the Amazon rainforest on my way back to Brazil (2009) and it just didn't stop to amaze me. The vibe of the jungle is really different from other places and there I felt a connection with the nature. The animals living there and the plants are just incredible, sleeping in the jungle is an experience in itself because the sounds there are hard to describe and I could hear when the rainforest was breathing.
------------------------------------------------------------

In 2010, I had the chance to stay in India for a while in a project and after it was done, I felt an irresistible urge to get a flight to Delhi and catch a bus from there to the beginning of the Himalayas.

I couldn't have made a better decision because the beauty of the region got imprinted through my eyes and perception to my spirit. I don't know how to exactly write about the place because it was the way how I felt there, that was unique from everything else that I had ever experienced.

The first days in Dharamsala, the earthly living place of Dalai Lama, were relaxing as I was getting familiar with the altitude.

Too many places that I have been to are polluted and the air to breathe does not feel pure. Exact the opposite was the case in the highlands. The fresh winds from the mountains feel cleansing and the air felt just right.

Then I moved to Manali. The distance between the villages is only 100 km but because of the demanding and curvy roads, the trip took 12 hours. In Manali, the presence of the Himalayas is more radiant as the valley is the only route north and surrounded by high walls that start the roof of the world.

In October 2015 I crossed the Caucasus mountains from Mestia to Lentekhi. It was a real challenge but I loved it...
