ABOUT ME

Hola!

I'm Carlos. I was born in Cali, Colombia, which is the third largest city in my country.

I'm currently living in Münster, Germany.

Well, it's never easy to describe yourself. You always say things about you as you think people see on you, but sometimes people can't see everything. What I can say about myself is that I'm a nice and polite guy who loves travelling around and also having nice adventures in every place I've been at.

I was a "party boy" in former days, but I think that time is gone now and I just enjoy visiting some new places as well as meeting people from other cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

As my parents always say: "life is only one; one must enjoy it as much as possible", that's what I'm actually doing day by day.

I don't see the difficulties as barriers which don't let you go further, but as lessons from which one can learn a lot of stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosted by nice and cool people in different places all over Europe. My own experience as a host is very good. Besides of hosting couchsurfers, I've hosted many of my friends who have also found out a bit what all this Couchsurfing thing is about. :)

In addition, I've had the chance to meet very nice and interesting people from all over the places I've been to.
It's not only about hosting/surfing, but also about sharing experiences and understanding that there is much more out there than we barely expect.

Interests

Well, there are a lot of things in life that make me feel alive and willing to be in this world. But what I really like the most is just getting some new experiences not only from the life itself, but also from my work and from the people I'm surrounded by.

I like to spend my time talking to smart and interesting people in order to discuss about the real facts in life and how all together could make a possitive impact in this society.

Of course I love travelling around as I mentioned before and I also like to get to know as many cultures as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Concerning the music I like, everything surrounds one of the best bands in the world: Coldplay :) Those guys are awesome and their music is perfect. But I enjoy all kind of music, of course.

I like horror movies and movies which are based in real life stories.

History is what I enjoy the most and I've read not only books but also a lot of literature related to what has happened in our world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- When I was in Bern, Switzerland, I didn't expect that such city could exist. It's quite small compared to some other capitals, but it's such a wonderful and peaceful city.

- The first experiences I had with the German language once I came to Germany for the first time. At the beginning I thought that all Germans were able to speak English, but then I realized that it is not always that way. So I had some embarrasing situations from which I've learned how to get used to the way of living in this country. I really like it.
