Overview
About Me
Hey there! I'm Carlos, and I'm currently working on my master's degree in Informatics at TUM. I'm also part of a medical startup in Munich. In my free time, I love riding my bike around the city, dancing, and teaching salsa cubana. One of my favorite things is meeting people from different countries and learning about their cultures.
I really value the time people spend with me, and I always try to make sure I give that time back in a meaningful way (yes, you are right: my first love language is Quality Time!). I love exploring new things, trying new foods, and just having different experiences in general.
IMPORTANT! I prioritize guests with verified profiles confirmed in at least two ways. This is important to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In recent years, I have sought to live together and create good relationships with people from different cultures, from making tandem exchanges (my language for yours), traveling, having parties, and talking to ventures.
Before COVID, I volunteered at my university to support students from exchange to adapt to the school's environment, the city, and the culture. I have personally supported students from India, Chile, Colombia, Belgium, and France (I have hosted a couple of them in my house).
I could summarize that opening up to meet people from other cultures allows you to grow by sharing experiences and points of view and creating new friendships.
Interests
I am very sporty: running, swimming, cycling, going to the gym, hiking, and more are on my bucket list.
I also have a keyboard piano and play it from time to time. You can use it if you want.
I am learning to cook; I would appreciate your teaching me how to cook your favorite meals - I like cooking together if we have the time.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy dancing salsa Casino/Cuban, and a little bit of Bachata.
I also love electronic music, such as techno, house, electro, and trance. Always open to listening to new genres.
Books on technology, futurism, innovation, entrepreneurship, human relationships, leadership, and fantasy stories. Sapiens of Yuval Noah is my favorite book.
I enjoy science fiction, comedy, humor movies, and TV shows.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I survived a summer entrepreneur course in the USA without speaking English, haha
Teach, Learn, Share
I can also teach you to dance salsa (beginner and intermediate levels) and the fundamentals of bachata.
If you want to learn how to program in Python, I can help you with that. My specialty is data.
I'm really interested in learning more about the traditions and lifestyles of people I know. I would also love to get some meal recipes if you have any to share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you're a student new to Munich, I'd love to hear from you! I know firsthand how overwhelming moving to Munich can be, especially figuring out where to stay. Finding accommodation in this city can be a real challenge! I might be able to offer you a place to crash for a few days and help you get your bearings. Don't hesitate to reach out!
While I generally prefer not to host during Oktoberfest, I'm willing to consider it if you can provide a compelling reason.
I'm happy to host travelers for UP TO 2 nights, especially on weekends (I might be open during the week). More nights would be a little bit difficult for me. My place is a great spot to crash after exploring Munich. It's perfect for relaxing, taking a hot shower, whipping up a simple meal, and getting a good night's sleep before hitting the sights again.
While I love having guests, my space is more suited for those who plan to spend most of their time exploring the city. If you have read until here, include the word "Misifus" in your request.
I am looking forward to hearing from you!
