I love to know new places, new people, different ways to approach the life! I think that in order to meet a place the best you can do is to meet the people that live there! (and nothing better than living with them)

ABOUT ME

I am from Mexico City and I love my megapolis! Is so big that you can find anything there, you can meet new people anytime and you can feel like a naive new visitor if you go to some specific places!
I study mathematics and I love it. I also enjoy talking and thinking about philosophy, movies, music, etc.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm more of numbers than words but I still loving the words. I try to make my way between the "you must" and the "just feel" I'm likely to be a lazy and procrastinating guy and so I try to put short term goals and respective incentives. On the other hand, I know that is wrong to don't consider the things as an end itself and enjoy the things just because.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am in Canada now and I have only my room! But as soon as I get to Mexico City I will be willing to host some couch surfers! I have a nice room where I can host people and If you want I could also give you a tour to the downtown (or the south of the city which I find very interesting!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had the opportunity! I knew about this web page a couple of months ago when I arrived here! Nevertheless, I stayed with a friend (not that close) at Montreal in a McGill residence and It was very fun! We are friends now!

Meet people, enjoy landscapes, doing sport activities (I like to swim, go to the gym, I have practiced Triathlon, Gymnastics and Boxing!) Taking nice pictures (when there is a good camera available! unfortunately I don't have one now!), meet new ways of live (sometimes I feel trapped in the rat race: elementary then high school then major then master or phd then work; that when I meet people with a totally different life approach, I really free myself (a little at least)!

Movies : My first favorite filmmaker was Pedro Almodovar. I also like Lord of the Rings, Starwars and Harry Potter. Kill bill.The Butterfly effect. The Piano teacher (this may be my favorite film at all).
Lately I enjoy Lars Von Trier films.

Music: Yeah Yeah Yeahs! I love Karen O and I love their lyrics and the music!
Björk inspires me and I cant help it! I think she has a unusual way of singing that has an special effect on me. (CocoRosie as well)
Andres Calamaro! Is a master in the composition of lyrics. All his songs are in Spanish and It would be hard to translate to English! if you know Spanish you should give him a try!
Lately, Arcade Fire and Beach house.
Some pop as Britney Spears and lady gaga (I have to admit!)

Books:
From Garcia Marquez "Cien años de soledad" I just love the way he write! The story makes this novel a must!
From Octavio Paz "El laberinto de la soledad"
In philosophy I love Hegel, Seneca, Platon, Hume and Nietzsche, among others.
