ABOUT ME

I've lived in San Diego for six years and all over the SD county, so I know it pretty well now. It's by far my favorite city and I'm happy to share my experiences and favorite places. I've also lived in El Salvador, Nicaragua, and the US (NJ, NY, MN, VT, CA and CO). I've traveled to Europe, Central America, Asia and the Middle East. I'm looking forward to host couch surfers and meeting new people and learning about their adventures

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been going to couchsurfing events locally and when I travel. I have several people so far and if I have the time I love showing people around my favorite spots.

Interests

I have a wide variety of interests(surfing, swimming, rock climbing, kitesurfing), but I take one at a time because I like to become at least decent at each of them. I also like to salsa dance a lot. I have been in a salsa team in the past where I competed and performed at different salsa congresses in the US. I also volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters, I have been a big brother in the past and now I do fundraising for them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That depends on the eye of the beholder, but for example I swam in a river with cows in Central America, I slept at an army base in Nicaragua, I was in an emergency room in San Marcos next to a drunk guy who had thrown himself at a bull during a run, etc...

Teach, Learn, Share

I have hobbies that stay with me for a while as well as some that take on for a little while. I could teach you how to salsa dance (been doing it for a while), basics of surfing and you could practice your Spanish with me. Although I'm no master, I also like rock climbing. My "new" < 3 years hobby is kitesurfing and I'm quite passionate about it. I can't really teach you that bc it's not safe but you're welcome to come to the beach with me when I do it.
