About Me
Hola!!! We are Camila from Colombia and Carlos from Spain! We recently moved to Gävle and we are happy to host other travellers here any time we are available and share some meals and stories together. We live in a quite area near the city centre and we can offer a very comfortable sofa bed.
Carlos: I am a mechanical engineer and i worked in windpower for several years until I decided to quit and travel for 3 years by bike. I travelled from Europe to Iran in 2019-20 (until covid), then around Europe in 2021, and again to Iran Armenia and Georgia in 2022. Later last year and with Camila we travelled India together but backpacking this time for 4 months.
I am passionate about travelling and healthy lifestyle. I love meeting new people, every kind of sport, playing in general (cards, games, anything!!) and of course cooking for my hosts and guests!!!
Camila: I studied product design, worked at a design studio, but afterwards life took to a slightly different way and as a designer I started working in a therapeutic environment, where I discovered Arts-Therapy. In 2020 I made the decision to move to Spain to study my master's degree in Arts-Therapy in Madrid, where I met Carlos and since then we travelled together and now moved to Sweden!
I enjoy traveling, dancing, playing with kids, cooking. I love finding and spending time in natural and calm places. I'm open to learn and share lots of smiles, games and good experiences
I am also in Warmshowers: https://es.warmshowers.org/user/143981
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me it is the best way of travelling so you really get to know the place you visit from locals. I have learnt so much from people and their culture and Im so glad to have received so much help during my trips.
I also love hosting people from around the world and share experiences, food, life views, .... everything they want to share.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love cooking for my hosts and guests and also learn local recipes
I can teach you how to travel by bike (much easier than it sounds even without knowing much about mechanics as me)
