My name is Carlota and I am from Barcelona. After living and working in Vancouver for 7 months I have decided to go to a warmer place and explore the incredible and beautiful Mexico for two and a half months.

I'm a positive person and I always try to see the bright side of things. I'm open-minded and easygoing and I am normally happy and smiling. I can be shy and distracted sometimes, and I am really clumsy.

I like to meet people, listen to their stories and have interesting conversations and discussions. I enjoy spending time in good company sharing a nice walk, some drinks or good food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't used Couchsurfing a lot but I think I am here because I would like to share a good time while I am traveling and also I would like to spend nice time if someone is visiting my city. One of the best parts of traveling is meeting new people and share time with them and Couchsurfing is perfect for this.

Interests

I enjoy food and eating, I like to try new restaurants, cook new recipes and also sharing good meals with friends and family.

I love to travel, I want to know as much as I can from other cultures, people and religions. I also like to discover new and different places, nature, languages, etc.

Some other hobbies I have are reading, watching series, hiking, hang out with friends and go to concerts.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love any kind of live music, but if I am at home I have some favorite Spanish bands like Vetusta Morla, Izal, Silvia Perez Cruz or Love of Lesbian. Some of my international favorite bands are Bon Iver, Asgeir or Ornafuld Arnalds.

Currently, I am not that much into movies but into TV series. I am following many of them when I have time to watch them. Some of my favorites are Six Feet Under, Breaking Bad or La Casa de Papel.

I love reading and I always try to find time for it. Some of my favorite authors are Murakami, Ferrante o Bukowski.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a curious person so I am keen to learn any kind of stuff. Also, I can teach some Spanish and some Spanish recipes.

I am always happy to share a meal, a nice conversation or a drink.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to have a nice chat with my hosts and other travelers! I can also make a nice and typical Spanish dinner and I am basically down for any cool experience and for having an awesome time!
