About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to spread my love of language and good people/food/culture. To teach and to be taught. To love.
ABOUT ME
I am a city girl, born on the mean streets of Detroit, partially raised in a small country town (we had a peach festival). Ever since I can remember, I've been writing stuff down, and I just can't seem to stop. I'm overly ambitious, working on two novels and a book of short stories. The oldest of 6, I love to take care of people, and that, together with my love of languages (particularly Spanish but really all of them!) and knowledge, led me to become an English/Spanish teacher. Going to Spain for Study Abroad led me to become the person that I am today, with a lust for travel and meeting new people that won't soon go away, and a penchant for the romantic. My favorite color is green, and my favorite animal is the snake. I enjoy various types of tea, reading whilst drinking tea, and I practice the art of Bellydance.
PHILOSOPHY
One thing: do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to this site, but I am already so excited to begin. I want to sleep on your couch and meet you, and hopefully one day, if I have the means, host people from all over the world and share with them the things that I love!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was fortunate enough to not find a place to stay last minute while planning a trip to Amsterdam in April, because I got to stay with two amazing gentlemen! One was a police officer of the finest caliber and the other was a journalist for a hipster magazine. Both of them took me out on the town, showed me a great time, and made sure I was fed, boozed, and safe. It was an amazing experience that I won't soon forget, and I would recommend couchsurfing to ANYONE because of it.
