Hello! I'm Carlotta and I'm 22 years old. I live in Trieste, a city in the North-East of Italy, on the border with Slovenia. I study International relations at university .

I am a very curious person, I love to meet new people, hear their stories, share our experiences. I am very passionate about life and trying to work on my self to be the most authentic I can be.

I am a strong advocate for human rights, I am very inclusive and respectful towards other people. I always try to do my best and work on my beliefs and conditioned opinions. I am an Intersectional feminist trying to do what I can from my small world to dismantle the patriarchy and the eurocentric, white men's burden conception.. and I don't feel sorry for it. I am open to discuss/confront about my opinions but only if the counterpart is openminded and is not looking for a conflict.

I am an environmentalist and I try to do my best with the resources I have to reduce my impact, I have a mostly vegan diet when at home, while I adapt when I am out.

I am really into psychology and working on myself and my patterns to be a more authentic version of myself.

I am very open to all experiences, I love trying new things and challenging my self!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I subscribed to Couchsurfing because I heard about it from some friends of mine and I wanted to try a new experience. I like meeting new people, from different countries and cultures as well, and I think that this is the most adequate place to do it. Unfortunately at the moment I'am not able to host people because I do not have another bed in my house, however if you are backpacking and have your own equipment (like a inflatable mattress) we can arrange something. Moreover you come to Trieste we can meet and I can show you the city!
I believe that getting in touch with people is one of the purest and fulfilling things we can experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have always had a hard time in deciding my favourite things, from songs to books. I believe that each composition is a piece of art and I cannot compare different books, films or songs. So I have decided to tell you what I have enjoyed recently: I read "A little life" by Hanya Yanagihara -loved it, so raw and intricated. The last film I watched is "Interstellar".. Mindblowing.
At the moment I am obsessed to listening to: Pearl Jam, the MTV unplugged from 1992; "Happier than ever " by Billie Eilish, and "Move" by Mellow Mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First year university: I lived in an appartment with 8 other people (it felt like a social centre lol).

This summer I went listening to Manu Chao at the No Border Music Festival
