Carlo was working as a Online Marketing consultant and Anne just graduated and has now a BSc Political Science. We had so many options to do with our life and it is sometimes a bit mindblowing to know which direction to go. But we know one thing for sure, we do not want to buy a house (yet), start a family and spend all our time to build a career. So we gave ourselves the permission to leave everything behind and to figure out what we are going to do to live life to its fullest!
We have now started a big adventure in Santiago, Chili. We have bought a car here and converted the car with some storing space and a mattress. The first roughly three months will be our holiday. We will drive through Patagonia (it must be one of the beautifulest places of the world) towards "el fin del mundo" (the end of the world). Hopefully we can work on a boat towards Antartica (if so, it will be like a childhood dream will come true). After that we will drive north towards Buenos Aires to fullfill a promise we have made to a guest who stayed with his wife at our place in Amsterdam.
One of the aspects of our plan for our journey is to find different kinds of projects (non-governmental organisations, private activities or commercial activities) what will be at least innovative or improvement to the environment or socially bounding. We would like to help these projects to develop! We have expertise on different kind of fields, but also just like to work hard. We love to build, analyse, photograph, marketing, garden, organize, clean, brainstorm, host and to document. In return we would like it to receive a meal and/or sleeping place and/or gasoline... or an other crazy idea ; )
So as an example let us come back on the promise we made to our friend in Buenos Aires. We started talking about his project he is doing beside his 'daily' job. He recycles/transforms painting bins into compost bins who you even can keep on your balcony! But, he cannot develop this project into a real business because of his 'daily' job. Because he is so passionate about his project and he really tries to do something to help the environment we decided to come and help him We will not receive money, but a meal, a sleeping place, company and knowledge. So if you have a project on which you can use some help or you know some interesting projects who can use our help please inform us!
After Buenos Aires we will travel up through the rest of South-America and just see where the roads and people will take us. We want to spend our time during our journey to projects that matter, see countries, develop our own photography, filming, drawing, writing and Spanish and just to meet people!

Hola!

It was really nice to host Carlo here in Gdańsk. He's a considerate and easy going surfer with whom you can discuss every topic with no problems. Sadly, I didn't have too much time to spend with him but we've managed to grab a veggie meal, talk about a role of Dutch Royal House in the public life, marvel at the amount of consonants and vowels in Polish language and finally decide that it was the shooting stars that brought us together. I recommend surfing with Carlo.

At first, I chose this place because of the bike option and the cool map on the wall. I got to their place and definetely, it's the best Amsterdam experience I could get, I'm totally coming back and stay here again, everything's clean and neat, it's very easy to use the public transport around here and the best part of this listing is the great couple you'll get as hosts, Carlo and Anne are the best hosts I've had and were very helpful with every single detail. They ended up being more than just hosts to me!

Staying with Carlo and Anne was perfect. They were excellent hosts who were more than willing to help you in any way that they can. They did a great job responding to any messages very quickly. Right off the bat they gave us several apps of the city including ones for the tram, train, and buses. They also lent us one of their bikes so we only had to rent one and saved us a lot of money. The room itself was a great size, had its own shower, and decorated simply and perfectly. Carlo and Anne were gracious hosts and I can't thank them enough for letting us stay there.
