I would describe myself as a 'recovering lawyer' who predominantly provides risk management advice in the TV & film industry which includes planning how to safely execute a stunt such as a high fall or car roll, or an SFX scene involving explosions and fire. I have worked on numerous films such as Rush, Star Wars VII & Beauty and the Beast. I also work for a a national UK newspaper where I contribute advice to send journalists to hostile environments; those which are war torn and considered highly dangerous. To elevate the pressure at work, I practice Pilates and am a fully trained instructor who has taught lessons around the world. On top of that, and in complete contradiction to my career, I love adrenaline sports so you can often find me rock climbing, rappelling, parachute jumping or anything else to get my heart racing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I'm not quite ready to give up on the remote working lifestyle having been successfully doing it for the last three years . Exploring new places. Going on adventures. In fact, I think I might be slightly addicted to travelling now and have figured out the best way to do so is to get insider knowledge from those already living in the places I want to visit.
