I'm a new Canadian resident here on a student visa pursuing a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine! I'm from Buffalo NY and previously worked in web design and project management. I enjoy traveling, live music, movies, and arts. I appreciate different life experiences and learning about people. I also love dogs; I need to add that here because I lost my boy in January and it's the hardest thing I've dealt with in life; he was my soulmate. That being said, I really miss doggie friends and welcome playing kisses and cuddles anytime!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently I'm here to find a stop between school and home to cut down my commute one day a week. I'm facing a 6 hour commute that I'm trying to break into 2 trips if I'm able to stay overnight!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy electropop as a music genre, as well as many versions of electronic music, and meditative compositions as well.

I tend to read sci-fi books such as Dune, and fantasy such as A Song of Ice and Fire(game of thrones). I have a feeling my free time will be spent on reading school books in the immediate future though!

I love sci-fi and horror genres as well as historical fiction and documentaries. My favorite shows are peaky blinders, legion, black mirror, Sherlock, game of thrones, and Star Trek. I enjoy both old and new. Currently I'm watching Maron, Silicon Valley, and GLOW.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been practicing qigong for many years and it's a practice that's changed my life. Healing arts can be incredible, and have consistently changed my perspective throughout my life. I'm amazed that I've stumbled onto this fantastic path and I'm so happy to be able to continue my pursuit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a very open person and am always willing to have great conversation, hear different viewpoints, and learn new things. I used to be a high school math teacher and was pretty good in college through differential equations so I can always lend a hand there. I'm a good cook and can help in the kitchen. I've taught qigong for a couple years and I'm happy to share that practice if anyone wants to learn!
