Overview
About Me
For the past five years I've been a journalist living and working in New York City and San Francisco. I recently turned 30 and decided to quit my job to explore the world and work on my Spanish skills. I'm currently based in Mexico City doing a fellowship with the microfinance company Kiva, and I plan to travel through Latin America for the rest of the year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe the best way to experience a new place is through the folks who live there. I am hoping to meet all sorts of interesting people who are willing to open their homes to me and share their cities' secrets. I love making new friends and can promise to return the favor once I am back in the U.S.
Interests
Live music, adventurous eating, beer/wine/whiskey, urban exploration (especially abandoned buildings), biking, hiking, camping, pretty much anything involving nature or the outdoors, news and media, microfinance, social impact, Burning Man, reading, writing, photography, meeting new people, talking to strangers.
