ABOUT ME

Bryn is a Plasterer and a really talented rugby player, having played semi professional in the UK before returning to the Isle of Man to save up to travel.
Carly is a trainee Lawyer and aspiring artist, who loves music and anything creative. She also loves to cook for people as she is a bit of a 'feeder'!
We have now returned from our travels and are settled in the beautiful Isle of Man, although still get nostalgic for travelling life every now and then! We have a black labrador called Gus who is crazy but a total softie. He will be 1 in September and loves to meet new people too!
We are a sociable couple who love a bit of adventure and work hard to play hard. We would love to host anyone who is wanting to see a bit of our lovely island and will happily show you around in between work commitments.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We couchsurfed our way from the west coast to the east coast of the United States as part of our world trip in 2012 and were amazed by all the unbelievable generous people we met doing so.
We are now back on the Isle of Man with our crazy but total softie of a puppy Gus and can host up to 4 people in our cute little bungalow just out of the capital Douglas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet but have a lot of surfing planned while in the states. My godfather introduced me to the site after having hosted lots of interesting people on our island,we hope to do the same at some point when we return!

兴趣

Over the last 7 months we have wholly embraced travelling life, spending at least 2 months in campervans, a few days in tents, and a lot of time in hostels and have enjoyed every minute. Back home we are both heavily involved with our local rugby club (Bryn playing, Carly more the social side!) and love spending time spoiling our gorgeous neices, Darcy & Poppy.

We love any movies, although Carly does tend to fall asleep about five minutes in if it's an evening watch.
Books currently lonely planet and countless travel guides as well as easy read cheesy novels, but love modern classics such as to kill a mockingbird when back home and have more time to enjoy a good book.
Bryn loves his old school tunes and is a massive Beatles fan, and we have both become lovers of south American music in the last few months, especially during our time volunteering in Uruguay when Brazilian and Argentinian music was on a loop!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Watching the sun rise on the Bolivia salt flats was out of this world! Sunset over Lake Titicaca was also pretty spectacular.
Standing at the top of the Iguazu falls in Argentina has to be seen to be believed!
Skydiving Lake Taupo, New Zealand ... incredible!
Just recently, Machu Picchu!
Couchsurfing across the USA and experiencing the real generosity of people.
