ABOUT ME

I'm an American from Montana who has been living in Middle Eastern countries for the better part of 3 years. I have a love-hate relationship with my birth country, and I really enjoy living abroad. I like adventure and spontaneity and really hope I never think I'm too old for it.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is many sided. I believe in philosophies and ideologies and activism and even religions as guidelines, but I greatly dislike dogmatic people of all varieties.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My roommates and I hosted many couchsurfers at our homes in Iraq and Jordan in recent years. I've met some really interesting people in this way and always look forward to meeting more!

Interests

Making art out of whatever's available, being surrounded by hearty people, adventurous strangers, tattoos, odd landscapes, water color, rock climbing, songwriting, hiking, canyoning, designing spaces, jewelry, coffee, wine, dancing, outrageous figures in pop culture, long conversations where both of you are equally as passionate about the topic(s), rooftops, the city of Beirut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in a forest service cabin in Montana where there are no people for many, many miles, fresh bear tracks in the mud, and the smell of wild flowers so strong it's intoxicating.
