ABOUT ME

My name is Carly. I was blessed to have been born in one of the most beautiful places on earth, New Zealand.

Hailing from Auckland, the City of Sails, I am a writer, listener, language lover, teacher, baker, big sister, foodie, mad about dance and an absolute travel bug. I am currently on my biggest adventure yet - living life in Spain and spending every moment in between visiting new places and meeting new people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Keen to meet people from all around the world and exchange language and culture, learn about the places I visit but also show people around the places I like to call home (Auckland or Cordoba... depending where I am).

Currently I am surfing. :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am brand new to Couchsurfing. I set up my membership a few months ago and not really knowing how to use it, never took it further.

After meeting so many interesting, humble, fun-loving and friendly people on my travels who have recommended the forum to me, I have decided to give it a really good go. I'm looking forward to seeing what new world awaits me! Although I know I need to work on building-up my profile!

Many different kinds.

For music - old school rules. I also like a good bit of indie and the occasional bit of pop.

For movies - foreign language films are my favourite (I'm a sucker for Amélie) but also can't get enough of old faves like Dirty Dancing.

For books - something that hooks me and draws me in within the first 10 pages or I seek instant gratification in written format online. Sad I know. A good mystery is always a winner.

1. Studying in France as a 20 year old.
2. Moving to Spain to try working life in a new country and a new culture.
